Emirates has launched new routes to Da Nang, Vietnam, and Siem Reap, Cambodia, via Bangkok, as part of its expanded presence in East Asia. The Dubai–Bangkok–Siem Reap route will operate three times weekly, complementing the airline’s existing daily flight to Phnom Penh via Singapore. This expansion increases Emirates’ Cambodia operations to a total of 10 weekly flights.
The inaugural flights to Da Nang on June 2 and Siem Reap on June 3 were celebrated with traditional water cannon salutes and warm welcomes from government officials and airport authorities. Both routes are operated using Emirates’ wide-body Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Nabil Sultan, Emirates’ Executive Vice President of Passenger Sales and Country Management, expressed his excitement, stating, “With these new routes, travelers can now enjoy seamless connectivity across Dubai, Bangkok, and either Da Nang or Siem Reap with a single ticket. We appreciate the support from local authorities and airport partners in helping us expand in this region.”
Da Nang becomes Emirates’ third gateway in Vietnam, joining Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The airline’s operations in Vietnam now total 25 weekly flights, supported by partnerships with Vietnam Airlines, VietJet, and Sun Group, aimed at boosting air connectivity and promoting inbound tourism to Southeast Asia.
The Dubai–Bangkok–Siem Reap route operates three times weekly and is designed to serve leisure travelers from European markets, creating opportunities for cultural and business exchanges under the UAE’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPA) with Cambodia and Vietnam.
The route launches were also marked with a cake-cutting ceremony at Emirates’ newly renovated lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport’s SAT-1 terminal, which is now the airline’s largest airport lounge outside of Dubai. The ceremony was attended by Emirates officials, dignitaries, and airport representatives.
