All Nippon Airways (ANA) has introduced its newest business class product, THE Room FX, featuring sliding doors and extra-wide, non-reclining seats. Launching in 2026 on Boeing 787-9s, it’s a next-generation update of their award-winning “The Room” seat.

Unveiled at the Paris Airshow, THE Room FX was developed with Safran Seats and Acumen. It offers 48 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, with some facing forward and others rearward. All seats have sliding doors and sofa-style designs that do not recline, favoring weight savings, simplicity, and safety. Passengers can lie flat, with a bed length of 76.5 inches and width of 41.5 inches, making it the largest mid-sized aircraft business class seat.
