Air India Expands Flights to Kathmandu, Colombo, and Bangkok

Air India has announced an expansion of its flight services to Kathmandu, Colombo, and Bangkok to accommodate increasing passenger demand. Starting July 7, 2025, the airline will boost its flight frequencies on key routes: it will operate a sixth daily flight between Delhi and Kathmandu, raising weekly flights from 35 to 42; introduce a second daily flight between Delhi and Colombo, doubling weekly departures from 7 to 14; and add a third daily flight between Mumbai and Bangkok, increasing weekly flights from 13 to 18.

This expansion results in the addition of over 7,000 seats to and from Bangkok, Colombo, and Kathmandu. The new flights to Kathmandu and Bangkok will be operated by Air India’s narrow-body aircraft configured with three classes, including Premium Economy, providing a full-service, premium flying experience for travelers.

Air India’s routes to Colombo, Kathmandu, and Bangkok offer convenient one-stop connections to destinations across North America, Europe, and the Far East. With the increased frequencies, the airline will now operate 42 weekly flights to Kathmandu, 28 weekly flights to Colombo, and 46 weekly flights to Bangkok.
