Cathay Pacific’s new Aria Suites business class debuts this month on Boeing 777s, flying five days a week between Sydney and Hong Kong from March 30, 2025.
Premium Features & Design
Each of the 45 private suites boasts sliding doors, a 24” 4K widescreen TV with Bluetooth audio, plush materials, and soft LED lighting. The angled layout enhances privacy, with a curved suite shell and “halo lighting” for a cozy feel. The soft wheat-colored seats feature woven wool covers and adjustable armrests for comfort.
Privacy & Storage
At 1.25m high, wrap-around walls create a personal space even with the sliding doors open. Clever storage nooks include a side cabinet, water bottle holder, hidden phone compartment, and shoe pocket. However, the storage compartment is too small for a 13” laptop.
Comfort & Smart Seating
The 50cm-wide seat reclines into a 195cm fully flatbed, though the footwell is tighter than previous versions. A touchscreen panel offers five preset seat modes for activities like watching, working, dining, relaxing, and sleeping.
Entertainment & Innovation
The fixed 24” 4K display allows gate-to-gate viewing, and passengers can pair Bluetooth headphones. The aircraft’s video cameras have been upgraded to HD for enhanced forward and downward views.
Washroom & Convenience Upgrades
New business class washrooms offer soft lighting for a relaxed feel. An in-flight system displays toilet availabilityacross all cabins—no need to stand up and check.
With the Aria Suites already flying to London Heathrow, Cathay plans to expand its availability, offering a refined, comfortable, and high-tech business class experience.
